This past Saturday, I had the honor of DJing a truly special celebration — La Presentación de Citlalli Villalobos — held at the elegant Hella Shrine Event Center in Garland, TX. The evening was filled with love, laughter, tradition, and unforgettable music as Citlalli took her first steps into young womanhood surrounded by the people who love her most.

From the moment guests arrived, there was an undeniable sense of excitement and pride in the air. The room was beautifully decorated, the family was glowing with joy, and Citlalli looked stunning in her gown, a true reflection of grace and tradition. As she made her grand entrance, the instrumental version of "Birds of a Feather" by Billie Eilish played softly in the background — setting a serene, emotional tone for what was to come.

Her presentation was heartfelt and deeply personal, introduced by her proud father Miguel Angel Villalobos de Loa, her sister Angela Rosio Villalobos, and her brother Alberto Villalobos. Each moment reflected the care and love poured into this milestone.

The gift presentation by her padrinos was especially touching. From the earrings given by Lupe Villalobos & Fernando Ramirez, to the bracelet from Ramon and Olga Villalobos, the chain from Eva Villalobos, and the symbolic ring gifted by Jesus and Misty Villalobos, every item held significance. Each padrino offered not just a gift, but a blessing for Citlalli’s journey into adulthood.

She received her crown from Guadalupe Larios & Jose Rivera, and her shoes from Alejandra Villalobos, symbolizing the transformation from niña to señorita. A surprise gift from her sister Angela brought even more emotion to the room.

The celebration was hosted in part thanks to Javier and Luz Reyes and Danny and Leticia Villalobos, who helped make the night possible. The delicious food was prepared by Lupe Villalobos & Fernando Ramirez, followed by a gorgeous cake from Ana Villalobos & Manuel Vazquez, and an eye-catching dessert table created by Angela Villalobos & Cathleen Manning.

After the presentation and dinner, we cut the cake to "Las Mañanitas" by Vicente Fernández and the traditional Happy Birthday song. Then it was time to light up the dance floor! Citlalli shared a sweet, emotional dance to "Mama’s Hand" by Queen Naija — not a dry eye in the room. We kept the energy going with the Dollar Dance, then a fun mix of country hits and norteñas as requested by the family. The dance floor stayed packed all night!

To all the padrinos and family who made this beautiful night possible — ¡Mil gracias! You gave Citlalli a night she will remember for the rest of her life, and it was my honor to be the DJ for such a meaningful celebration.
