Once the big day is over and you’ve settled into married life, there’s one more important task to tackle: sending out thank you cards. Here’s a quick guide on when to send them to show your appreciation in the best way possible.

1. Gifts Received Before the Wedding 🎁

For any gifts you receive before your wedding day, aim to send out thank you cards within two weeks of receiving them1. This shows your gratitude promptly and keeps you from getting overwhelmed closer to the wedding.

2. Gifts Received on the Wedding Day or After 🎉

For gifts received on your wedding day or after, it’s best to send out thank you cards within three months of your wedding12. This gives you enough time to enjoy your honeymoon and settle into married life while still being timely with your thanks.

3. Personalize Your Messages ✍️

Take the time to personalize each thank you card. Mention the specific gift and how you plan to use it or how much you enjoyed having the guest at your wedding. A heartfelt, personalized message goes a long way in showing your appreciation.

4. Team Up with Your Partner 🤝

Divide and conquer! Work together with your partner to write and send out the thank you cards. This not only makes the task more manageable but also ensures that both of you are involved in expressing your gratitude.
